George Washington Wearing Lafayette's Apron

This is an opportunity to purchase one of a highly limited edition of bronze resin sculptures portraying George Washington wearing the famous apron presented to him by the Marquis de Lafayette in August of 1784.
This work is part of a certified worldwide edition of only 425 pieces. The statuette stands on its mahogany base at around 23 inches and has been given an antique wax/graphite patina. Each piece is meticulously cast and hand finished by the artist himself to ensure a work of the highest quality. I have given a great deal of attention to the symbolism on the apron along with other details such as Washingtons Masters Jewel and the Masons trowel held in his hand. The famous bust of Washington by Hiram Powers was used as reference when modelling the head.

It is priced at £269
