Robert The Bruce

Robert the Bruce was probably born in Ayrshire on 11 July 1274. However, there are alternative claims for His birthplace, notably Lochmaben Castle in Annandale, Dumfriesshire which was the seat of the Bruce family.

Dennis the Menace and Gnasher

This piece is the second in a series of strictly limited and highly collectible works depicting characters from the Dandy and Beano comics. This particular work will go into production in October 2001. This sculpture will be limited to only 50 pieces

William McGonagall standing figure.

Whether he was an ingenious buffoon or a shrewd entertainer (Mcgonagall extracted fees of between 5 and 10/- (50p) from the crowds who gleefully attended his public humiliations) is open to debate. Whatever the case, one cannot fail to admire McGonagall's eternal optimism-this is the man who walked from Dundee to Balmoral to present a volume of his treasured verse to his beloved Queen Victoria only to be told at the gates of the castle to go away.

Rob Roy McGregor

 

Brigand or hero, cattle rustler or patriot? Perhaps both views are justified. Rob Roy MacGregor, otherwise known in Gaelic as Raibert Ruadh, was born at Glengyle, on the west end of Loch Katrine, in 1671. Farmer, drover and occasional raider, he became a Commander of the Watch, specifically formed to guard against cattle raiders.
